Words on World Book Day
After the snow postponed our World Book day last week, we were all very excited this morning coming to school dressed as a word. Some of us brought our favourite book which contained the word and we all had a great time talking to each other and finding out all the different words and their definitions. As you can see, there were some really interesting words and fabulous costumes. Here are some examples of our words.
smart
dance
mischief and bounce from our Peter Rabbit fans predator
rowdy
aspire
birthday
It's a mystery to these two
magical

dreams camouflage

World Book Day 2018
We have been busy all day! We have completed lots of vocabulary work including alphabetical order, nouns work and scrabble. The day was finished off with a visit from Mrs Sowerby's children for some light reading!
World Book Day Fun
The children all made such a wonderful effort with their costumes and have learnt such a lot of new, exciting and challenging vocabulary. Please ask them about all of the new words they have learnt today and see if they can tell you whether it's a noun, adjective, verb or adverb. They might even be able to tell you a synonym for it!
Here we are enjoying sharing stories with our buddies in year 6.
