Money, money, money!

We have loved exploring the coins this week as we begin to develop our understanding of money.

Today we practised making given amounts with the coins and we saw how many different ways we could make an amount!

We have loved exploring clay this afternoon! After watching a video of a potter making a vase on a potter’s wheel, we explored how we can use clay with our hands.

We rolled balls and snakes with our hands. We practised squeezing and pulling and pinching the clay. We smoothed our clay and attempted to join pieces together. We explored how water can help us do this!

We have loved finding out about renewable energy today as part of our learning about climate change.

We followed the instructions carefully to make our own wind turbine and we enjoyed seeing them in action!

Continents and Oceans

The Year 2 bubble have enjoyed using atlases to find the 7 continents and 5 oceans.

We then used cut and stick to make our own maps.

Do you know the names of the 7 continents and 5 oceans?
